Today, Partners Community Health and Trillium Health Partners acquired Camilla Care Community long-term care home in Mississauga from Sienna Senior Living.
This transaction is a three-way agreement between Sienna Senior Living (Sienna), Partners Community Health (PCH) and Trillium Health Partners (THP). The agreement includes the sale of Camilla in its entirety, including the property and the 236 long-term care (LTC) bed licenses. Pursuant to this agreement, PCH acquired the bed licenses and operations of the LTC home and THP acquired the building and land where Camilla is currently situated.
“Today, Partners Community Health is honoured to officially assume ownership and operation of Camilla Care Community long-term care home. We are grateful to the residents, families, caregivers, and the hard-working staff and physicians who have welcomed us into their home,” says Tess Romain, President of Partners Community Health. “We look forward to continued collaboration with the people of Camilla, our partners and the surrounding community as we ensure high-quality, compassionate, and inclusive care for residents and families.”
PCH is committed to continued dialogue with Camilla staff, residents, and families during this transition period, and as they plan together for an exciting future, in which PCH will be operating a new long-term care home at 2180 Speakman Drive in Mississauga. This long-term care home is currently being constructed by THP and will include 632 new beds.
THP intends to use the property that Camilla is currently situated on as a part of the future footprint of the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. The planning for this new hospital is currently underway with the City of Mississauga and Government of Ontario.
THP will experience more demand for services than any other Ontario hospital in the next 20 years, and the Camilla property will mean greater opportunity for health campus development of the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital.
