#PeopleofPCH is a series that highlights the diverse stories of staff, residents, and families across Partners Community Health (PCH).
Say hello to Norlie Paradela, Manager, Office Administration at Partners Community Health. Norlie shares her story for Administrative Professionals’ Day:
“Working in my role at Partners Community Health is gratifying in many ways. I enjoy the challenge of solving problems as well as the sense of accomplishment that comes with finding a solution. The challenge also presents an opportunity to constantly learn and develop new skills, which I appreciate. Learning from your experiences is a critical lesson I’ve learned while working in this field.
Being part of TeamPCH, I enjoy the collaborative environment and the opportunity to work with talented, dedicated, and passionate people all working towards the goal of providing seamless care to residents.
Most of all, I love helping the residents in the little way I can, and I feel accomplished when I can answer their questions and make them happy. I feel blessed to be working in long-term care and being involved in delivering high quality care experiences for residents.
In my role, I oversee two departments, Reception and Scheduling, and I typically start my day by checking in with them and working to address any pending concerns. Throughout the rest of the day, I work on reports and projects, and even meet with residents and families. Each day is never the same and it’s the variety that makes my job interesting.
As an administrative professional, it’s important to always collaborate with members of your team and colleagues in different departments and build trusted relationships with them. You are there to help your team and they are there to help you.”
