#PeopleofPCH is a series that highlights the diverse stories of staff, residents, and families across Partners Community Health (PCH).
Say hello to Ramadevi Adari, Manager, Quality, Research and Education. To celebrate the November #BelongingatPCH theme of ‘Education’, Rama shares her story:
As the Manager of Quality, Research, and Education at Partners Community Health (PCH), my role spans several critical areas including education, quality, research and innovation activities. My team and I focus on these essential components to help deliver exceptional education and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
In education, we cover a wide range of activities, from orientations for new staff and students to in-service training sessions, regular huddles, and nursing rounds. These are all geared toward equipping our staff with the skills and knowledge they need to provide the best possible care. On the quality front, I work closely with nursing leadership on quality improvement initiatives. Together, we identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement changes that enhance our services and improve resident outcomes. Research is another important aspect of our work. We coordinate research projects at PCH, offering support where needed to advance our understanding and practices in long-term care.
Education is the #BelongingatPCH theme for November, a time when we emphasize the importance of continuous learning in long-term care. In this environment, education enables our healthcare team to adopt best practices, leading to improved resident care and outcomes. Education is especially critical in long-term care, where enhancing quality of life for residents and staying updated on trends and best practices can make a significant difference.
One of my favorite aspects of this role is the variety it brings. I get to work across education, quality, and research, applying my knowledge and experience to projects that can make a meaningful impact on our residents’ lives.
A typical day for me is full of learning. Each day, I’m coming up with new ideas aimed at improving outcomes and quality of life for our residents.
I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work at PCH, where I can be part of meaningful projects and contribute to the ongoing evolution of long-term care. Looking forward, I’m excited about the future projects and improvements we’ll bring to our residents and the long-term care healthcare model as a whole.
