#PeopleofPCH is a series that highlights the diverse stories of staff, residents, and families across Partners Community Health (PCH).
Say hello to Taylor Morris, Administrative Assistant at Wellbrook Place West. Taylor shares his story in celebration of Administrative Professionals’ Day and this month’s #BelongingatPCH theme of Collaboration.
“Every good admin is a student—and the key to successful collaboration is becoming a student of the people you support. I’ve made it my mission to learn our Executive Director: her preferences, her style, the way she likes things done. You can’t help someone effectively unless you understand how they want to be helped.
Collaboration in this role also means being adaptable. We work in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same, so while I value structure, I’ve learned to be flexible too. It’s also about being open, approachable, and communicative—making sure people know I’m here and that support is available.
Before joining PCH, I knew I wanted my next role to be somewhere I felt I was making a difference. What I appreciate about PCH is that we’re given the chance to honour seniors—people who’ve contributed so much to society and laid the foundation we stand on today. Even though I’m not in direct care, I feel proud to support that mission in my own way.”
